I’ve slowly been chipping away at Carter’s scrapbook and trying to not get too far behind! I’ve just started on Baby Girl’s pregnancy scrapbook with hopes to have both caught up by the time she makes her debut in about 11 short weeks! I also have to get things all set for Carter’s second birthday that’s rapidly approaching. In addition, we are hard at work on Baby Girl’s nursery as orders trickle in slowly. Needless to say, things are busy around here – but that’s the way I like it! I finished up Volume IV of Carter’s scrapbook and it covers 12 – 18 months. I had so many pictures from his first birthday party it took up quite a bit of space! I am trying to keep his books to two a year now that I’m past the first year and so far, it seems like it will work out. Here’s a look at the latest album:
I used one of Carter’s pictures from his professional 1 year pics for the cover page of the album and included a sweet little poem I found that captured the moment perfectly.
We kicked off Carter’s big day with homemade pancakes with a candle on top. It was such a bittersweet day for this Mama!
I love how Carter’s monthly pictures turned out and this scrapbook layout was perfect to feature his growth progression over 12 months. However, I just noticed they are out of order so I will be fixing that ASAP! lol!
Another fun layout to capture the 12-month growth progression and my little one’s personality.
Of course, plenty of pictures from Carter’s first birthday. You can read all about the Very Hungry Caterpillar themed party here.
More from the big day – I love how these pages turned out – so colorful and full of great memories.
I had all the guests fill out a card with their favorite memory of Carter from his first year. Such a special touch for his scrapbook to have these memories.
All the little details that went into the big day
I included a copy of the thank you card we sent to everyone after the party
And this is what it’s all about and for. Carter LOVES to look through his scrapbooks and points out all his family members and names them, names the animals, just loves everything about his books. As I was snapping these pictures he had to come by and check out his book, once again 🙂
I love the big envelope pages to tuck cards and other items to store in.
So many wonderful, happy moments captured in this album. I can’t believe I will be adding his 2-year old pictures in just two short months. Then, we will start adding pictures of Carter with his baby sister! Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week!
