Valentine Gift Guide

While the world watches the Super Bowl, I’m thinking pink and red, hearts and roses!  I think this is one of my favorite holidays simply for the decorations and color scheme. Adam and I aren’t big on exchanging gifts, but I thought it would be fun to share what we got for Carter and to share some ideas for that special someone in your lives.

pajamas

Carter has several Valentine themed outfits so I knew he had to have some pajamas as well.  I found this cute 4-piece set made by Carter’s.  The gray set is my favorite with the little arrows.  The other set is ok – I’m not a fan of short sleeve pajamas.

We also got him two books and have enjoyed reading them to him.  It was hard to narrow down the books to two – there were so many cute ones available!  I got LOVE from the Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and My Fuzzy Valentine by Naomi Kleinberg.  We are big fans of the Caterpillar books around this house.  Another cute non- Valentine book set that we are enjoying is Amazing Machines: Truckload of Fun Book 10-Book Set by Tony Milton and Ant Parker.

For the computer-gamer Valentine (like mine), I’ve been told this headset is the way to go.  I’ll have to take his word for it! 🙂

ugg

My pick for a Valentine gift would have to by my favorite slippers by Ugg.  Ironically, I got an email this morning that they’re 15% off on Ugg.com.  I wear mine anytime I’m in the house and like that they have a hard sole – basically like a real shoe – for more support.

Some other fun gift ideas for anyone would be a subscription to a monthly service whether it’s a magazine, clothing or candy.  It’s something fun that brings a smile each month.  I just came across Candy Box this weekend and am so tempted to try it!  We have such a love for candy around this house.

One year, Adam got me tickets to Michael Buble as a gift.  The concert wasn’t until the summer but it was something fun we could look forward to doing together.  Spending time together is usually what we opt to spend money on vs an actual gift.  Some of our favorite weekend get-away trips are:

  • The Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina
  • Gatlinburg, Tennessee
  • Savannah, Georgia
  • Nashville, Tennessee
  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Natchez, Mississippi
  • New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Biloxi, Mississippi

Where are your favorite weekend get-aways?  Share away and give me some ideas for our next trip together!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. We love staying at Canaan Valley Resort in WV this time of year to either go skiing, tubbing, sledding, ice skating, and to peak at the frozen Blackwater Falls.
