Thank You Cards

When it came time to send thank you notes for all the wonderful gifts we received for Baby Carter, I wanted to continue the airplane theme.  It took forever to put these all together – I made probably 50 in all – it wasn’t so bad except for the tiny accents on the plane.

To create, I used the Cricut Baby Steps cartridge to cut the onesie and the Cricut Lite cartridge B is for Boy to get the airplane.  The “thank you” stamp is from the My Pink Stamper collection.

The cards are a standard craft size – 4.25″ x 5.5″ which is a split of an 8.5″ x 11″ page.  To get the card base, I cut 8.5″ X 11″ white card stock in half and folded it over.  I prefer to use a bone chip folder to get a nice crisp edge.  Then, I used sheets of lightly patterned 12″ x 12″ paper for the background.  You can actually get several background pieces from 1 12″ x 12″ sheet pending how you cut it and how much edge you want visible of the base.  I used foam dots to pop up the onesie and add a little dimension to the card.  A simple white satin ribbon and knot added the last touch.

Thanks for stopping by – hope your week is off to a great start!
